This is self evident to anyone who has ever raised a child. Perhaps there could be a child somewhere that does not like "sgettis" but we are not aware of any such person.

Fortunately there are many, many varieties of gluten free spaghetti noodles just waiting in the wings to fill that vacuum in your life created by the gluten free diet. Our tastes run to the types of gluten free spaghetti made from brown rice, it seems to have the color and texture of regular spaghetti. There are some varieties of gluten free spaghetti noodles made in Italy that are reported to come close not only in texture and appearance, but also closely mimic the flavor of ordinary spaghetti as well.

Whatever your preference might be there is no reason why the gluten free diet should keep you from enjoying spaghetti just as you always have. The Australian firm Orgran even makes a canned spaghetti in sauce product for gluten free kids that resembles the famous Spaghetti-Os.

You can't walk into into very many restaurants, for example, and ask for some gluten free lasagna. As Homer Simpson might say, "But it's so delicious". And of course it is! Since we do not eat meat at our house we often will create a gluten free lasagna meal for major holidays, instead of cooking ham or a turkey.

We've tried several brands of gluten free lasagna over the years, with especially good luck using Ener-G lasagna noodles. It really is not necessary to give up eating lasagna just because circumstances have forced you into a gluten free diet.
